Lancaster & District Association of Professional Photographers
LADAPP is an informal organisation, a collective of like minded and mutually respecting local photographers. Each member is a well established and experienced professional with a strong portfolio of work and solid reputation for quality.
The members of LADAPP work together to offer emergency cover in the extremely rare event of illness, make recommendations and referrals to other professional photographers if already booked or unable to accept work, and freely share ideas and information with each other for mutual benefit and enjoyment.
Our clients all benefit from this spirit of cooperation, in particular through the peace of mind that comes with knowing that each photographer comes highly recommended and is equally supported by several other members.
In a market place where it is so difficult to identify professionalism and quality, we are glad of the opportunity to recognise and advertise each others expertise for our clients.

Jonathan Bean, of Beanphoto
Jonathan obtained his degree in Photography in 1988, and since then has spent time as a theatre photographer, teaching photography in youth clubs, lecturing in History of Photography and as gallery manager at Folly in Lancaster. He started "Beanphoto" in 2004 and has been shooting weddings regularly ever since. He wonders why it took him so long to realise it's the best job ever! His style is a mix of creative, documentary and contemporary, "it's about capturing the story and the heart of the day in a natural, friendly, way". Jonathan is available for both weddings and portraiture.

Phillip Gibbs, of Tall Order Photography
Standing at 6'6" Phillip is forever to be known as 'the tall photographer'! He moved to Lancaster to be with his partner Matthew after enjoying a career managing a team of other photographers onboard cruise ships. Although Phillip misses a life of frequent parties, glamorous destinations and above all, no tax, he is thrilled to be back on dry land with a camera in his hand. His style is modern, his approach friendly and the simplicity of his 'one wedding package' system is refreshingly easy to understand.

Jon Brook, of Bentham Imaging
Jon is the principle photographer at Bentham Imaging and a Licentiate of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers. His Studio and Gallery, situated on Main Street in Bentham, displays Jon's landscape work for which he has won gold awards. Wedding and Portraits are a passion for Jon, the Studio provides the idea environment with a comfortable seating area to discuss requirements or watch the completed DVD.

Steve Pendrill, of Steve Pendrill Photography
Originally from Scotland, Steve has spent most of his career as a press photographer on local newspapers. A well-respected and familiar figure locally, Steve left newspapers in 2009 after twenty-five years, to establish his own photography business. When shooting a wedding, Steve's approach is as much about good advance planning as it is working in a relaxed, friendly and confident, yet unobtrusive way. He makes the photography fun and catches the true atmosphere of the day in striking natural pictures.
